Questions

The five we get asked most.

Straight answers, no sales pitch.

Something else on your mind? Ask us directly , and we answer within one business day.

  • It depends on the size of the opening, the system you choose and the mesh, because every panel is custom manufactured to your measurements rather than bought off a shelf. Send us the rough dimensions of the space and a photo and we'll come back with a real number, not a range designed to get us in the door.

  • For installation, we cover Connecticut and the nearby states, including Massachusetts, New York and Rhode Island. For the product itself, no: we manufacture porch screening systems and ship them anywhere in the United States, either fully assembled or as raw goods, and raw goods ship worldwide. Motorized screens are the exception, since they need fitting and servicing on site, so we keep that work regional.

  • Yes. That's what the glass and acrylic inserts are for. The same panels accept removable tempered glass or acrylic inserts, so you swap screen for glass when the weather turns and back again in spring. Glass keeps out wind, blowing rain, dust and pollen, and cuts noise, which is what turns a summer porch into a three-season room you use most of the year.

  • Yes, and it is routine here rather than a special request. Because panels are custom manufactured to supplied specifications rather than cut down from stock sizes, arched tops, triangles, trapezoids, gable ends and openings that are out of square are all normal work. A recent Bloomfield job had custom arched tops and an integrated dog door built into a panel.

  • November through March. Rescreening and repair work booked in those months goes in at the winter rate, half what the same job costs in peak season, and there is no waiting list, so everything is finished and back in place before the first warm day. That includes window screen rescreening. Send a count and rough sizes and we'll quote it.

  • Yes. We supply dealers, builders and installers across the United States with the Screen Wall System and our other porch screening products, manufactured to your customer's measurements and shipped to you. You get the specifications, layout drawings and load figures for your own quoting and permitting. Use the contact form and tell us the area you cover.
