Flex Screens
Not every opening is a rectangle, and not every opening will take a rigid frame. Where a standard framed screen will not work, we look at flexible screening approaches instead, including the Simplicity® system, which handles triangles, trapezoids and other odd shapes, and Snapp®, which adapts to openings of any shape and can be fabricated on site.

Awkward openings we deal with regularly
- Triangles, trapezoids and gable ends
- Arched tops and curved heads
- Openings that are out of square
- Runs too long for a single rigid panel
Why odd shapes are normal here
Most screen products are sold in stock sizes and trimmed to fit, which is why anything that is not a clean rectangle turns into a problem. We manufacture every panel to the specification supplied, so an arch, a gable end or a wall that is half an inch out of square is an ordinary order rather than a special.
Which system suits an awkward opening
Simplicity® is the usual answer for triangles, trapezoids and anything that has to be fabricated on the job site. Snapp® adapts to openings of any shape and can be cut and mounted in place, so it handles curves and long runs well. The Screen Wall System covers arched tops and repeated layouts where the finish has to match across a whole elevation.
What we need from you
- A photograph of the opening, taken square on if you can
- Rough width and height, and the height measured in three places if it looks uneven
- Whether it needs to open, and which way
- Any existing frame or trim colour you want matched
Send a photo and rough dimensions of the opening. Odd shapes are routine here. The Bloomfield job in our recent projects had custom arched tops.
